And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt. Sylvia Plath, 1932–1963

SPOTLIGHT: Christoph Morlinghaus

Christoph Morlinghaus lives and works in New York.  His work is stunning.  Landscapes and architecture void of people are a continuing theme throughout his substantial portfolio and editorial work. Morlinghaus produced a body of work depicting church buildings.  Reminds me of images by Candida Höfer.

My friend Luke Tonge tipped me off about this one. “I really love this short film (12 minutes long) Signs by Australian director Patrick Hughes. It will be presented in the upcoming Schweppes Short Film Festival. The film has no dialog between the two main characters, just a soundtrack. Communication is done by signs, facial expressions and scrabbles on papers. The movie is pretty emotional, depressing and sweet at the same time.  I highly recommend you watch it.” (Source: https://www.youtube.com/)
