FOREST DEFENDERS: THE CONFRONTATIONAL AMERICAN LANDSCAPE.
“I have been photographing these activists and loggers since the summer of 2003.My connection to this project revolves around the passion and endless work that consumes these people who live in the back-country for months at a time; and who are willing to sacrifice their comforts’ to stand up for their beliefs.”

Some great work from Christopher LaMarca, though the pairing of the work on the website is a little frustrating.  I think some of these images need to be seen singularly to be able to fully appreciate them.  Good stuff though.

LaMarca studied Environmental Studies and Biology at the University of Oregon, a degree that led him to pursue photographic projects documenting environmental issues.  The rest of his web galleries are also worth a look.
