In Indonesia on any given day, 20% of students are absent from school for health reasons. To think of it another way, the average student in Indonesia misses one day of school every week! Yet, many of these illnesses could be avoided by simple hygiene practices like hand washing and tooth brushing. In fact, dental health is the single largest cause of school absenteeism in Indonesia.
