The sun climbed confidently over the hills, and arriving at the venue I was welcomed with a beautiful view across the fields to the picturesque village of Ambleside where Keith and Sarah met.
Set in the stunning surroundings of the Lake District, England, a fun and relaxed day unfolded; flower filled wellies lined the aisle of the church, a picnic with pork pies and posh crisps was enjoyed as the sun shone in all it’s glory. Keith and Sarah had very thoughtfully filled a wooden crate with ponchos for everyone in case it rained, needless to say they went unused! After garden games and an afternoon amble down to the lake, the dusk settled while the music was turned up and the dancing got crazy!
An incredible wedding day, surrounded by family and friends with ladles of laughter thrown in, it was plain for all to see that Keith and Sarah truly are the greatest of friends. Watching the two of them glance at each other while singing an old school hymn ‘One more step along the world I go’ during the church service, was a particularly precious and nostalgic moment. So I will leave you with these words and huge congratulations to the wonderful Bride and Groom.
One more step along the world I go,
One more step along the world I go;
From the old things to the new,
Keep me travelling along with you:
And it’s from the old I travel to the new;
Keep me travelling along with you.
Round the corners of the world I turn,
More and more about the world I learn;
All the new things that I see
You’ll be looking at along with me.
And it’s from the old I travel to the new;
Keep me travelling along with you.
