It’s been a long time since I’ve been to the cinema and watched a film that has altered my list of favourite films. Honig im Kopf (Honey in the head) is the story of a family, and particularly the relationship between 11 year old Tilda (Emma Schweiger) and her Grandfather (Dieter Hallervorden) who has alzheimer’s. Superbly written, beautifully shot, with great performances all round and a stunning soundtrack, this film directed by and featuring Til Schweiger had me laughing, crying, laughing, crying, laughing, crying…a MUST see!
